What Is Laminate Flooring?

Stabilizing Layer-This is the bottom layer and is made from resin-saturated paper. This layer holds all the layers in place.

Core Layer-Called as the backbone of laminate flooring. It is available in different thickness and strengths and comes in the form of processed particle board.

Design Layer-Since this is below the top layer it cannot be scuffed or marked. This is the image that you normally see on a patterned print or a photograph.

Wear Layer-Top layer on which you walk, made from cellulose paper. The layer is saturated with melamine plastic resins in order to make the laminate flooring scratch-resistant.

How To Care For Laminate Floors
Compared to other floorings, laminate floors does not need much labour for maintenance. Cleaning can be done in a jiffy and and it consumes less amount of time. Some pointers to keep your floors in the best conditions
1. Do not use steel wool, wax strippers or scouring powder on laminate floors.
2. Avoid using conventional cleaners that are soap-based; instead opt for citrus-based cleaners
3. For important cleaning jobs, mop with a mixture of water and vinegar or ammonia.
